ESET security review
For the price, ESET’s suite is one of the top. Its malware detection rate is close to perfect and it packs a solid number of extra features into smaller footprint. The Android package includes an anti-theft feature to help you locate your phone that has been stolen. The premium version comes with parental controls, a safe browser as well as a passcode manager. The security features for networks include a firewall, as well as the option to scan home devices for vulnerabilities, are also beneficial.
One of the most popular is SysInspector. It’s an excellent tool that captures a screenshot of your system benefits of artificial intelligence and highlights running processes as well as crucial Registry entries, as well as other information. It’s not for newbies, but if you’re used to more advanced task managers such as those found in the Sysinternals process explorer, you’ll feel at in the comfort of your own home.
Another great feature is the ability to schedule scans on demand. This is a good alternative to real-time protection, which is quick and easy to do. It’s a shame that ESET does not group this with other scheduling tasks, and its UI makes it somewhat difficult to locate as compared to other competitors.
Other notable features include a powerful form filler that can be used for online banking, a powerful spam filter that has earned the highest scores in our tests, and a very powerful password manager that’s simple to use. The password manager is only available in the premium version, and requires an ESET account, but it works just as well as other standalone options I’ve tried.
